Mission & Goals:
Terva’s mission is to make the world’s farmland information accessible, starting right here at home – in rural Iowa. Our goals for 2017 are to launch our public product, put rural Iowa’s farmland on the map and provide services to 10,000 Iowa agriculturists.

When did you start this business?
Terva started as an idea in a class at Iowa State University in the Fall of 2015.

Why did you start this business?
Growing up on a 5th generation family dairy farm, I’ve experienced first-hand the frustrations a farm experiences when they’re looking for land to farm. I started Terva to make that process easier for people like my grandfather, who’s been farming for 60 years and for beginning farmers, who are trying to get their start in the industry. I have a passion for people, agriculture and technology. Terva perfectly blends these three passions, as it has the potential to connect thousands of people with opportunities to build a life on the land they love.

Your business in 1 sentence:
Terva is an innovative website that connects farmland buyers and sellers with each other, with professional services and with data - to make finding land to farm easier.

Anything else you’d like to add?
I am humbled by the opportunity to participate in the TS Bank REV 2016 Pitch Competition. Being a farm kid at heart, I’m familiar with the entire community working together to bring in the harvest. I’m thankful to TS Bank for reaching out to the Iowa startup community to help us aspiring businesses sow the seeds that will one-day blossom into a full harvest.
