Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dec. 16, 2016 - On Thursday, Dec. 1, TS Bank held their second annual small business pitch competition event, REV, with a goal to ignite small business at Iowa Western Community College. TS Bank contributed $25,000 and Revela of Omaha sponsored with an additional $2,500, bringing the grand prize total to $27,500.
Five small businesses were given five minutes to pitch their business plans to a panel of four judges in front of a live audience. The final five competing businesses were: Terva of Ames, Iowa; Wicked Caramel Apples of LaVista, Nebraska; Lienwaivers.io of Sioux City, Iowa; FliteBrite of Des Moines, Iowa; and BEX International of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Lienwaivers.io and FliteBrite were awarded $10,000 each. Terva was awarded $5,000, and Wicked Caramel Apples received $2,500.

TS Bank selected four individuals as judges as experts in their field and to represent the local community. The panel of judges consisted of: Bob Mundt, president of the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce; Andrea Fredrickson, the CEO of Revela of Omaha; Rick Faber, leader of Vistage of Omaha; and Erin Dyer, member of the Omaha Chamber and starter of Kitchen Council.
TS Bank hosts this event in alignment with their mission to reinvest 10 percent of pre-tax income back into the community. Partners of this event included the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, Corning Main Street, the IWCC Small Business Development Center, and TS Institute.
