Treynor, IA Nov. 1, 2017 - TS Bank invites the public to attend REV, a riveting small business pitch event, on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

REV consists of five businesses owners and entrepreneurs who will pitch their ideas to compete at the chance to win up to $27,000.* TS Bank contributes the majority of the capital at $25,000 each year. Revela of Omaha, a three-time sponsor, has added an additional $2,000 to this year's prize money.

Early in TS Bank’s history, two powerful realizations were made: community banking is key to community success, and an essential part of a community's success is the strength of its small businesses. As a result, TS Bank started REV in 2015 and to date, has reinvested a total of $50,000 to support small businesses.

"I love the entrepreneurial spirit in this country, and we are continually amazed at the businesses in our own backyard," said Joshua M. Guttau, CEO of TS Bank. "We see the value in supporting entrepreneurs, as they create jobs and drive the local economy."

After 16 businesses pitched at a preliminary event in October, five businesses were selected to move forward and will compete at REV. Those businesses are: Appsky Labs of Omaha, Nebraska; Flyover Design Co. of Des Moines, Iowa; Found of Omaha, Nebraska; Fyiio of Omaha, Nebraska, and HomeDitty of Des Moines, Iowa. The finalists will pitch for a second time in front of a live audience in December.

This year’s judge panel includes: Andrea Frederickson, CEO of Revela, Allie Esch of Dundee Venture Capital, Daniel Koenig, CEO of Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce, and Nathan Preheim, co-founder of The Startup Collaborative.

TS Bank’s REV Finale will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at ‘The Venue’ within Harrah’s, Council Bluffs. Networking and appetizers begin at 5 p.m.; pitches start at 6 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.
